Spirit Voyage, oil on canvas, 36″ x 36″

If you have been following my work for a while you know that I’m drawn to the beauty of sky water reflections and have a deep appreciation of the color blue. The color blue is known for it’s positive calming effects on the mind.

My light filled paintings draw you in offering a place of serenity and allowing for a connection to a deeper level of consciousness. Viewers often find themselves feeling calm remembering a place or a time and sometimes imagining places to go in the future. I want to share a few of my favorite “blue” paintings that are available now in my studio and in my online shop.

I made each of the following paintings after a special vacation.  The represent joyful memories of time spent with friends and family. In Between after a summer weekend in Maine.  I was out on the lake with friends for a sunset cocktail cruise and was taken by the peaceful moment caught between the stands of trees leading to a hidden place We Want It to Last Forever, was inspired by a road trip to Oregon. I saw this landscape as we were driving and just had to pull over to take photos to be used later in the studio. Spring Daydream is a memory of beautiful walk along the coast in Santa Barbara, CA.

“Every client makes a very distinctive imprint when I work with them.  So then sourcing inspiring and meaningful artwork for them becomes an intuitive and fun challenge.  Victoria Veedell’s paintings are soft, illuminated landscapes that hold beautiful nostalgia.  They create portals within a room, to travel to a land we’ve been to, we want to go to, or that will be unfurling in our imagination.” -interior designer Kathleen M.
