Lost in Shanghai
The paintings in the “Lost in Shanghai” series were inspired by a springtime visit to Shanghai. On one of my outings while visiting the museum district I stumbled upon a tiny garden. It was my quiet time within the chaos of the city. I took many photographs while I was there. As I was sorting through the photographs back in my studio in San Francisco I had the idea to create something beautiful out of the experience.
